Origin location and destination location

Origin Location: The place where the shipment or goods are picked up or dispatched from (e.g., factory, warehouse, supplier).

Destination Location: The final point where the goods are delivered (e.g., customer address, distribution center, retail outlet).

Time for pickup and time for delivery (hours, days)

In logistics, pickup time and delivery time can be represented in hours or days, depending on the mode of transport and the type of service (express, standard, etc.).

Type of freight, dimensions, commodity and weight

Logistics Terminology:

Can be gross weight (total including packaging) or net weight (product only)

    The mode of transport or shipment type:

  • Dimensions

The type of goods being shipped:

Examples: Electronics, Garments, Machinery, Furniture, Chemicals, Food items, etc.

Weight

Measured in kg or lbs

If they have any wishes on how to transport it (for example, they can tell you we need it as cheap as possible, or we want it as fast as possible, or they need us to unpack or pack it and etc)
